Blessed to Bless bags are ready!

The Daring Girls have assembled the Blessed to Bless bags and want to thank the congregation for the generous donations to this project.  The bags are ready to be picked up today.  They ask that someone from each household pick up a bag in the foyer after the service.  There may be enough to offer another one to each family next week.  These bags are to be placed in your vehicle to be given to any needy person you may come across.  Please be in prayer for the people these will reach.

Daring Girls Schedule Change

Please make note that there will not be a Daring Girls meeting for the month of May. Instead the girls are encouraged to attend the church work day on Saturday, April 30th to help in any way they are able.

Easter Sunday, April 24th

On Easter Sunday we will be having breakfast finger foods between the Sunday school and the worship service. Please plan to bring a finger food (i.e. doughnuts, muffins, coffee cakes, or fruit) to share — something that does not require a utensil to eat. Juice and coffee will be provided.

Communicants Class

Ruling Elder Britt McNeill has begun teaching communicants classes during the Sunday school hour.  These classes are intended to help prepare young people to be examined by the session for church membership. IT IS NOT TO LATE TO JOIN.

Daring Girls “Blessed to Bless” Service Project

The Daring Girls are starting a service project to prepare Ziplock bags containing basic necessities for the needy in our community. These “Blessed to Bless” bags will contain many things we take for granted that would greatly bless a homeless person. Once the bags are prepared, they will be distributed to you to keep in your car to give to a person in need.

Read the details here >>> Blessed to Bless

Items for the Blessed to Bless bags will be collected through April 3. Please prayerfully consider adding your name to the sign up poster on the bulletin board to donate as many items as you are able to give. Please place donated items in the basket provided near the coat rack. Please see Robin Deane or Maria Ettema with any questions.

New Adult Sunday School Class on the Church

Is the Church going the way of the dinosaur in the 21st century as an outmoded and irrelevant institution?

Join Pastor Michael, Sundays at 9:30 am, as we begin exploring what Scripture says about the Church to which we belong.

This will be more than just an academic exercise. We will address timely and relevant issues such as…

-how God blesses and uses His people through the body of Christ

-the spiritual gifts

-the means of grace

– other critical topics that impact God’s people.

Come and get a sense not only of history, but the present, and the future!
