Great Dads Seminar, Saturday September 27th 2014

It can be difficult to be a great dad but it is not a journey you need to take alone.
On September 27th, Spriggs Road PCA is hosting a Great Dads Seminar on The 6 Basics of Being a Great Dad.
In just four hour we will discover the Scripture-based basics of being a Great Dad – the most challenging, most complex, and most rewarding job a man can ever have.
In the seminar you will learn about:
  • Providing unconditional love and affection
  • Spending T-I-M-E
  • Communicating constantly and with creativity
  • Partnering with mom
  • Instilling moral and spiritual value
  • Establishing your fathering legacy
This seminar is an excellent investment in the life of your family.
The seminar is on September 27th from 8 am to 12 pm. The cost is $30 per person and breakfast foods will be provided.

Great Dads is a national ministry dedicated to training men in the most important job they will ever have. Since 1997 they have presented this seminar at over 1500 sites to over 50,000 dads.

Missions Banquet Saturday, September 20th

Hands touching a globeMissions Banquet is planned for Saturday, September 20th. The theme will be Project Paraguay.  Pastor Roberto Maureira will be our guest along with others who were involved with Project Paraguay. It will be a covered dish dinner. Please add you’re your name to the signup sheet on the bulletin board if you are planning to attend. There will be a nursery available for kids 4 and under. Older kids are welcome to attend the banquet with their parents.

(3) how we should live our lives

And how to approach these from a distinctively Biblical perspective.

We are Still Accepting Acts for the Talent Show!!

Empty StageIf you have a talent you would like to share with us at Saturday’s talent show, please let us know no later than 9pm, Friday, June 20. Please email Britt McNeill with a general description of your talent.

Please note: We have a very broad definition of talent. We hope to make this a fun event in which all can participate. Some ideas for talents you can share are as follows:

– play and instrument

– sing

– dance

– deliver an original or a memorized famous speech

– give a monologue or a dramatic interpretation of a poem or Scripture

– do a magic trick

– perform a small skit with some friends

– show an original work of cinematography on our big screen.

 

In addition, we will have a display area available for photography,artwork, crafts, or written literary talents.

Project Paraguay

Project Paraguay Short-term Mission Trip SRPC has four people signed up to go to Paraguay. Please pray for them as they make the necessary preparations. There is still an opportunity to be involved as the cost is about $1600 per person. Please prayerfully consider helping these folks finance this missions trip.
