Ladies Bible Study Resumes: January 8, 2020

The Wednesday morning ladies Bible study resumes their study of Hebrews on January 8, 2020.

Are you resolving in the new year to learn more of God’s Word? Why not join us to help make that a reality? It is never to late to join us.

We meet each Wednesday morning at 10:30am. Nursery care can be provided for those who need it, as long as we are notified 24 hours in advance.

If you would like more details, please, contact Laura McNeill Bea Counts, or Lisa Bentley.

Nursery Duty Sign-Up 2020

Please note that there are still many slots left to be filled in the Nursery Duty Sign-Up:

We need all able adult church members to participate in order to provide this important ministry to the families attending our services. If you have questions please contact Robin Deane.

Also, please complete the SRPC Child Protection training, if you have not done so already. Our goal is to have 100% of the adults in our congregation complete this training. Please email Jeff Holbrook for the link to the training.

Consider Supporting RUF-I George Mason University

Many of you have had opportunity to meet the DeLong family who have visited SRPC in the past. Matthew is the Reformed University Fellowship – International (RUF-I) campus minister at George Mason University (GMU). RUF-I GMU is a local ministry with global reach. As they welcome students and scholars from around the world to George Mason University by meeting physical needs and building community, they are promoting international friendships, cultural exchange, and, above all, providing a safe environment for them to explore the Christian faith. Please consider supporting this important ministry.

There is currently a matching grant available to RUF-I George Mason University for new giving of up to $10,000.  Any new giving submitted by December 31st will be matched up to $10,000.  visit https://givetoruf.org/Donate?productid=596.

Please, also help them get the word out about this matching grant opportunity by liking and sharing this post on social media.

Transportation need for Sunday mornings

Ministry Opportunity: A widow who recently relocated about 2 miles from SRPC is in need of a ride to and from worship service.  She lives near Harris Teeter at the Prince William Parkway/Hoadly Road intersection. She uses a scooter to get around, but it easily folds and can be placed in the trunk. If you are able to periodically provide a ride please let Ralph Bentley know.  He hopes to put together a list of 8 to 12 volunteers.  This would result in volunteers only providing a ride every 2 to 3 months.  It would involve contacting her a day or two before and providing your contact information and confirming she will be attending service.

This is a great opportunity to serve the Lord by helping someone in need.  Please consider volunteering.
